Wai Phra Khae: Tradition of moon celebration Phra Khae, or Preah Khae in Cambodia, means the moon. Wai Phra Khae came from the Khmer Royal tradition to give alms to monks during the full moon night of the 12 lunar month. Similar to “Pha Ok Phra Khae” in Surin, the “Wai Phra Khae” tradition is still performed by Thais of Khmer descent in Suphan Buri to make rain forecast. th
