The Prophet through the eyes of Thai academy Rawi Phawilai.
In 1959, at 34, Prof. Rawi Phawilai, an astronomer and poet, was so impressed by the Lebanese artist, philosopher and writer Kahlil Gibran’s book, The Prophet, that he translated it into Thai. In this article, Prof. Rawi compared prophet Almustafa’s teaching with Buddhist principle. A book of 26 prose poetry essays written in English, the Prophet was originally published in 1923. It is Gibran's best known work. The Prophet has been translated into over 40 different languages and has never been out of print.
