Governor Udom particularly acknowledged the commitment of the community to the sustenance of peace in the environment, urging the youths to desist from any unwholesome act that may portend threats to the business operations of oil and gas companies operating in the area, in the interest of all. The Governor also urged the traditional rulers in the State to continue in their stead as the

purveyors of peace and unity for the progress and development of the State. In their separate remarks, the Paramount Ruler of Ibeno who doubles as the Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Council of Chiefs, as well as the Transition Committee Chairman of Ibeno LGA, High Chief Williams Mkpah expressed gratitude to all for the support and pledged to sustain their drive to making Ibeno remain a home of peace, unity and development in the Niger Delta region.
