n response to requests for support, I Mobil Producing Nigeria (MPN), operator of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)/MPN Joint Venture, has presented cheques worth over Fifty Million Naira to twelve Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Professional Organizations in Akwa Ibom State. The donation presentation ceremony held at Eden Hotel, Eket in Akwa Ibom State. The beneficiary groups were Arts and Skills Development Initiative (N7,000,000.00), Eket; the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Akwa Ibom State Council (N6,000,000.00); Providence Home, Uyo (N1,000,000.00); Ibom Premium Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Esit Eket (N4,000,000.00); Pillars Forum (Uyo) Multipurpose Cooperative Society (N6,500,000.00); Intercontinental Friends Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, Onna (N3,000,000.00); Ulok Ulok Peoples Assembly, Ibeno (N3,500,00.00); Ibeno Youth Presidents' Forum (N3,500,000.00); Onna Youth Council (N3,000,000.00); Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom State Branch (N600,000.00); Community Partners for Development, Uyo (N5,990,000.00) and Light Bearers Organization, Eket (N6,990,000.00).
