‘From the East to Southeast Asia’ and ‘A History of the Thai-Chinese’
Two major books about overseas Chinese in Southeast Asian countries including Siam have been released in the past few years. First, ‘From the East to Southeast Asia’ is an autobiography of a famous Chinese journalist who has left China in 1905 to live in many Southeast Asian countries. The second book, ‘A History of the Thai-Chinese’ gives a perspective picture of Chinese immigrants in Siam. Panadda Lertlamampai, director of the Writers’ Association of Thailand, compared the two books in details.
